Frequently asked questions
Is Uniaway free for students?
Yes. Uniaway’s guidance is free for students, with no obligation.
Do you charge students?
No. Our advice and application support are free for students. We’re paid by our partner universities and institutions when a student enrols, which never changes the fees you pay them. We always recommend the course and country that fit you best. You still pay your own costs directly to universities, embassies and test providers, such as tuition, deposits, visa fees, the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and English test fees like IELTS.
Can you guarantee me a place or a visa?
No, and nobody honestly can. Universities decide admissions and governments decide visas. We help you prepare the strongest application you can.
Which English test should I take?
It depends on your country and university. IELTS is the most widely accepted; PTE, TOEFL and Duolingo are accepted by many universities. See our English test guide.
When should I start?
Ideally 9–12 months before your intake, especially for the UK September intake or US Fall deadlines. It is never too late to ask.
Do you give immigration advice?
No. We share general information and official checklists, but we are not immigration or legal advisers. For advice on your personal case, speak to a regulated immigration adviser or the official government website.
Can you help with scholarships?
Yes. We help you find scholarships you may be eligible for and prepare strong applications, although awards are decided by the funders.
